Sometimes animal protection laws are better than human ones

Two morons have been convicted of animal cruelty after over feeding a dog in their care:

It's a shame people aren't convicted of abuse when they allow their children to become that obese.

Of course the same practice (over feeding animals) is standard operating procedure for a factory farm:
